Abstract

Two new species of calcareous algae (Dasycladaceae) are described. One - Salpingoporella croatica n. sp. -is characterized by a clyindricalskeleton and undivided, phloiophorous to partly vesiculiferousrarnifications, arranged in whorls. The other species- Uragiella ragusinan.sp. - also has a cylindrical thallus and ramifications arranged inwhorls. The shape of the ramifications, however, varies from nodularor tubercular to atypically pyriform and more rarely, to the Uragiellatype. The ramifications are often deformed, which is particulary visiblein more distal tangential sections. Both species are found in the samesample which belongs, chronostratigraphically, to the Upper Dogger.
